St. Anne’s Guest House, Heacham, is a good location for visiting many of the attractions in Norfolk. There are stately homes such as Sandringham House, winter residence of H.M. the Queen, where you can walk through the forest and see the Rhododendrons in spring. On the last Wednesday in July the Flower Show is held.

Holkham Hall is another fine house to visit, just a few miles around the coast. Holkham is also famous for it’s stunning beaches approached through the Pine Woods. For the more adventurous sailing, windsurfing. kite-surfing and water-skiing can be found along the coast on a number of Norfolk’s superb beaches or estuaries.

For bird watchers there are RSPB Nature Reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell. Golfers can enjoy a number of links courses including Hunstanton close by. There’s plenty to do for the kids with Park Farm at Snettisham and Hunstanton Sea Life Centre as a just couple of suggestions. Not, of course, forgetting the famous Norfolk Lavender in Heacham itself.

In the evenings there are plenty of local pubs serving good food and many fine restaurants less than 15 minutes by car. There is a more extensive list in our Guest Information Folder in each bedroom.
